Seawater Desalination plant
Chungam Water Treatment & Engineering Co., Ltd. is a specialized company that provides all solutions for water treatment processe
Seawater Desalination?
It is a facility that removes salt from seawater and produces fresh water for power generation, industrial water, household water, and drinking water. Reverse osmosis is a method of obtaining fresh water by removing and separating other substances such as water and salt by applying high pressure to seawater using a semi-permeable membrane.
During seawater treatment, the design and selection of the pretreatment facility for raw water is very important because the suspension in raw water contaminates a membrane and shortens the life and service period of the membrane.
Main process of seawater desalination
- Water intake facilities - Coast intake, underwater intake, pipe intake, etc.
- Pretreatment facilities - MF, UF, D.A.F, coagulant sedimentation filtration, sand filtration, cartridge filter, etc.
- Drug injection and post-treatment facility – An inorganic material input facility is required for pH control, sterilization and drinking water use
- CIP facility - Periodic cleaning management is required due to pressure change due to membrane contamination or decrease in treated water quantity
- Concentrated water discharge facility - Consideration of prevention such as destruction of ecosystem due to high concentration
